Rose Pedals Vegan Weddings
Getting married is one of the biggest events that can happen in our lives so why not celebrate that special day feeling energetic, balanced and healthy? There is usually a lot of pre-wedding stress that comes along with planning the big day so I am here to give you some tips on how to stay healthy as you go through all these stresses, big & small.
Eating a whole foods vegan diet is one way to make sure your body, moods and energy stays balanced during all the wedding planning, dress fittings, invitation designing and more. When I say whole foods, what I mean is foods that are NOT processed. What are processed foods you ask? Anything that comes in a bag, box or any sort of packaging. It’s best to eat foods with one ingredient that you can put together with other one-ingredient foods to taste really yummy. Also cutting back on energy zapping foods such as sugar, white flour, coffee and animal products.
Make sure that you are exercising regularly and doing things you love! It’s important that we love the exercise we are doing, or we will get bored and quit. It’s also really important to mix it up and get plenty of variety! Tony Horton, the creator of the phenomenal workout system, and my client always says that variety is the key to optimal health and will prevent boredom and plateaus. So do yourself a favor and schedule in the things you love doing each week leading up to the big day, and stick to them. And that even means cooking healthy food.
Yes, I know you are probably thinking, “How do I manage all of that, when I am so busy planning my wedding?” Easy, you make a commitment to yourself to be as healthy and balanced as you can and then you take baby steps to get there, small little steps that will result in big changes down the line. If we don’t have a healthy body, or just health in general, nothing else matters. Our life is not at its optimal level and we don’t have our best energy to get from day to day. What you put into your body is hugely important for a long and happy life and I know you want to live one with your new spouse! Eating and living a healthy life takes some thought and planning in the beginning until it becomes second nature and then you will wonder how you ever lived without it!
